This campaign has the potential to save lives.
The sudden and tragic passing of Shane Warne sparked a significant upsurge in public interest in heart disease and heart attacks, referred to as the "Shane Warne Halo Effect." This phenomenon serves as a testament to the enduring legacy Shane leaves off the field.
Statistics have shown a remarkable 62% increase in Heart Health Checks from March 2022 to January 2023, reflecting the profound impact of Shane's passing.
Almost half of individuals who undergo this simple 4-minute heart check are subsequently referred to their GP for further assessment, underscoring its critical importance.
We are providing the opportunity for all Australian's to have a FREE Shane Warne Legacy Health Check.
NATIONAL "ALWAYS ON" PROGRAM
Together with our Founding Partner, Latrobe Health Services, we are dedicated to providing at least 200,000 Australians each year with a Shane Warne Legacy Health Check—available year-round and completely free of charge.
Together with Diabetes Australia and Novo Nordisk, our shared mission is to reduce the risk of cardiometabolic disease and improve the health of hundreds of thousands of individuals.
We are all united in our vision to reach as many regional and rural communities across Australia as possible each year, and we are working tirelessly to make this happen. Our goal is to expand the National program and increase its presence across the country.
Currently, we have the Shane Warne Legacy Health Check available in over 330 Sisu Health Class IIa Medical Grade Health Stations located nationwide, with the ultimate aim of having one within 5 kilometers of every Australian. Just as Shane did in life, we are setting bold, ambitious goals and dreaming big!

The Shane Warne Legacy MONOPOLY Limited Edition honours the legendary career and life of cricket icon Shane Warne.
Shane cherished playing Monopoly with his family and friends, and we’re proud to carry on this tradition. This special edition not only celebrates his legacy but also shares fun and fascinating moments about Shane that will inspire generations to come—just as he would have wanted.
2024 - BOXING DAY TEST
SWL Health Check Goal: 12,000
WE BOWLED IT OVER!
We aimed to provide 12,000 free Shane Warne Legacy Health Checks, including Point of Care Testing (finger prick blood test) for eligible individuals at the NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test (Australia v India).
STATISTICS BELOW:
Boxing Day Test: 13,416 (+74% from 2023)
Diabetes Checks: 1,145
GP Referral / Call to Action: 2,619 (Average Age 41 - 77% were men
National Total: 36,947

2024 - MALLEE / GILMORE
The Shane Warne Legacy partnered up with heart health advocate Katrina Umback to deliver a 40-day regional heart screening program across the Mallee and Gilmore electorates from May to July 2024.
In collaboration with NOVARTIS, SiSU Health, Priceline Pharmacy, and Roche Diagnostics, together we provided free 10-minute heart checks at over 20 locations, including shopping centres, sports events, and field days. Five Priceline Pharmacies also offered screenings for added convenience.
Katrina's husband, Scott, tragically passed away from a heart attack at 42, highlighting the urgent need for better healthcare access in regional areas. His story reinforces why early detection is vital, and we are committed to making a real difference in at-risk communities.
2024 - GATHER ROUND
Goal for 2024 Gather Round: 9,000
WE BOWLED IT OVER!
The Shane Warne Legacy Health Check activation at Gather Round 2024 was a huge success. This initiative served 7,134 individuals with 9,465 health checks across four sites, bringing accessible, non-invasive health checks directly to the public.
This activation demonstrated innovative population health leadership, raising awareness of cardiometabolic risk with a remarkable NPS of +84 and overwhelming positive feedback.

2023 - BOXING DAY TEST
SWL Health Check Goal: 23,000
WE BOWLED IT OVER!
Our goal was to deliver 23,000 free
"Shane Warne Legacy Health Checks" before the end of 2023.
With 33,318 people having a crack at getting the SWL Health Check from 15 - 31 December. Having just launched this initiative these numbers blew us away. We thought we would impact at least one life over this time frame, however, the number of lives impacted due to this health check is countless.
