Committed to free Shane Warne Legacy Health Checks in our partnership with Latrobe Health Services

We are excited to announce our two-year partnership with Latrobe Health Services, a not-for-profit, member-owned, private health insurer that shares our passion for saving lives.

It’s with the support of our partners that we can continue to grow and fulfil health check commitments in honour of Shane. We have had a significant impact in health for many Australians, having supported over 160,000 free health checks since launching in November 2023. Our vision is to ensure health checks are free and accessible to Australians. We have and will continue to save lives. 

Latrobe Health has been supporting health checks since June 2022, starting from the inception of the Gippsland Healthy Heart Study, in collaboration with Wesfarmers Health and SiSU Health, where 500 heart checks were conducted among participants in the Gippsland region to boost awareness and promote better health outcomes in regional and rural areas (the findings of the study Latrobe Health published in the Australians Journal of Rural Health).

Since then, Latrobe Health Services have conducted over 2,500 free heart checks at local shopping centres, community events such as, field days and local gatherings in various regional locations across Victoria. More recently, they supported offering free Shane Warne Legacy Health Checks at the Boxing Day Test and AFL Gather Round events where over 14,000 checks were completed.

In a short span of time, the collective efforts of the Shane Warne Legacy, Latrobe Health Services and SiSU Health have significantly impacted the health outcomes of numerous Australians, raising awareness and ultimately saving lives. 

Together, with the support and dedication of our partners, and the wider community, we are confident in our ability to create a healthier future for everyone and continue to provide health checks free of charge.

The Legacy has had a significant impact for many Australians, having supported over 160,000 free health checks (as of August 2024) since commencing operations in November 2023. And we aren’t stopping here.

Our vision is to ensure Shane Warne Legacy Health Checks are free and accessible to all Australians, and that we save lives.

Where it all began:

• In November 2023 Shane Warne Legacy was launched.
• Over 14,000 Shane Warne Legacy Health Checks were completed at the 2023 Boxing Day Cricket Test and 2024 AFL Gather Round events.
• Shane Warne Legacy Health Checks made available in Priceline Pharmacies. 
• Worked with SiSU Health, Wesfarmers, Novo Nordisk, Latrobe Health Services and many others to boost Shane Warne Legacy Health Check initiatives and awareness.
• Delivered over 160,000 Shane Warne Legacy Health Checks, and counting.
